104th General Assembly "By His Spirit We Shall Be One
The great Church of God gathered for her General Assembly September 1st through the 6th in Cleveland, TN at the T.L. Lowery Ministry Center. The theme for this year's assembly was
"By His Spirit We Shall Be One"
On the evening of the 1st many people gathered at the Pre Assembly to worship and honor the Lord. It was a time of great blessings and praise, with singing, boosting, and preaching. When God feels like moving, there is no stopping him.
And that was just the Pre Assembly...Throughout the remainder of the Assembly the church of God spirit was alive and moving. With message after message preached to the real church of God by the Church's ministers, covering all sorts of topics. Not to mention all of the wonderful programs for the auxiliaries. There were alter services, special songs, healings, testimonies and reports for all of the Church's states and countries.
God again blessed the Assembly with the ability for several of the National overseers to be there. They are a precious group of men that are striving to do for the church. The Lord blessed the congregation with their reports, telling of the progress in their appointed countries.
On the morning of Friday the 4TH the General Overseer, Bishop James C. Nabors gave his Annual Address. It has been repeatedly described as the best Annual Address heard in years. I honestly believe that God is using the leadership of the Church in mighty ways, because he is a mighty God. The Church is mighty and bright with nowhere to go but up, and "By His Spirit We Shall Be One!" Amen!
The Church of God Flag: Unworldly Beautiful
Recently the Church of God at 6412 22nd Ave. Kenosha WI was blessed with fabulous markers for the C.P.M.A. and for the rest of the church. We were able to get a brand new flagpole to hoist the Church of God banner high!
There's a song that sums up the Church flag perfectly.
