  Thank God for the church of God! The Church of God gathered for her 105Th General Assembly from August 31st-September 5Th, 2010. The theme for this year's Assembly was "Going Back to the Basics."

  The Pre-assembly took place on Tuesday evening, followed with the opening of the Assembly Wednesday Morning. At the beginning of the Assembly the Interim General Overseer, Bishop Alexander Jackson Senior stepped back to allow the Lord to install the General Overseer. After much prayer and seeking the Lord's face the Church of God was informed who her General Overseer was, Bishop Alexander Jackson Sr. There was much rejoicing in the Lord for his grace, we could feel his presence and we listened to his voice. That is how the Church of God does it. With our General Overseer on the front lines, the Church of God moved froward!

  The General Assembly was blessed with beautiful songs, wonderful testimonies, amazing Auxiliary programs, and God-filled alter services. We had business and we had fun. There was preaching and teaching as a Christ-like spirit surrounded us. We marched, even if in place, along with the V.L.B.s and W.M.B.s and gave our offerings as unto the Lord. Come Sunday afternoon, the Church of God ended her 105TH assembly with joy and with sadness. The assembly was over and it was time to go home, but we take the Lord with us, wherever we go.
